SECTION IV- EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES

INHALATION (BREATHING)- IF SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE DEVELOP (SEE SECTION V), MOVE VICTIM AWAY FROM SOURCE OF EXPOSURE AND INTO FRESH AIR. IF SYMPTOMS PERSIST, SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION. IF VICTIM IS NOT BREATHING, ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION SHOULD BE ADMINISTERED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. IF BREATHING DIFFICULTIES DEVELOP, OXYGEN SHOULD BE ADMINISTERED BY QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. SEEK IMMEDIATE MEDICAL ATTENTION.

INGESTION- (SWALLOWING)- SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION, IF VICTIM IS DROWSY OR UNCONSCIOUS, PLACE ON LEFT SIDE WITH HEAD DOWN. DO NOT GIVE ANYTHING BY MOUTH. IF VICTIM IS CONSCIOUS AND ALERT, VOMITING SHOULD BE INDUCED FOR INGESTION OF LARGE AMOUNTS (MORE THAN 5 OUNCES IN AN ADULT) PREFERABLY WITH SYRUP OF IPECAC UNDER DIRECTION FROM A PHYSICIAN OR POISON CENTER. IF SYRUP OF IPECAC IS NOT AVAILABLE, VOMITING CAN BE INDUCED BY GIVING 3 TABLESPOONS OF LIQUID DISHWASHING SOAP IN A GLASS OF WATER, OR BY GENTLY PLACING 2 FINGERS IN THE BACK OF THE THROAT. IF POSSIBLE DO NOT LEAVE THE VICTIM UNATTENDED. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.

EYE CONTACT- MOVE VICTIM AWAY FROM EXPOSURE TO VAPORS AND INTO FRESH AIR. IF IRRITATION OR REDNESS DEVELOPS, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION. FOR DIRECT CONTACT FLUSH THE EFFECTED EYE WITH CLEAN WATER FIR AT LEAST 15 MINUTES. SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.

SKIN CONTACT- REMOVE ALL CONTAMINATED CLOTHING. CLEANSE AFFECTED AREAS THOROUGHLY BY WASHING WITH MILD SOAP AND WATER. IF IRRITATION OR REDNESS DEVELOPS AND PERSISTS, SEEK MEDICAL ATTENTION.

IF SWALLOWED CALL A PHYSICIAN/SKIN - FLUSH WITH WATER. IF INHALED REMOVE TO FRESH AIR AND CALL A PHYSICIAN, GIVE ARTIFICIAL RESPIRATION IF BREATHING IS DIFFICULT. EYES - FLUSH WITH PLENTY OF WATER AT LEAST 15 MINUTES. TREATMENT SHOULD BE DIRECTED AT THE CONTROL OF SYMPTOMS AND THE CLINICAL CONDITIONS, THERE IS NO

SPECIFIC ANTIDOTE.

SECTION V - FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARD DATA

EXTINGUISHING MEDIA: FOAM, ALCOHOL FOAM, CO2, DRY CHEMICAL, LARGE VOLUME WATER FOG

SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES:

MATERIALS BURN RAPIDLY WITH INTENSE HEAT, USE SELF-CONTAINED BREATHING APPARATUS AND PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. FIGHT FIRE FROM A DISTANCE DUE TO THE THREAT OF PRESSURES IN CONTAINERS WHICH CAN

CAUSE AN EXPLOSION. UNUSUAL FIRE AND EXPLOSION HAZARDS:

AVOID UNNECESSARY EXPOSURE TO HEAT. VAPORS MAY TRAVEL TO SOURCE

OTHER PROTECTIVE CLOTHING OR EQUIPMENT 3

SECTION VI- SPILL PROCEDURES

STEPS TO BE TAKEN IN CASE MATERIAL IS RELEASED OR SPILLED

DRUMS OF THIS MATERIAL SHOULD BE GROUNDED WHEN POURING. NEVER USE PRESSURE TO EMPTY. DRUM IS NOT A PRESSURE VESSEL. DO NOT PUNCTURE CONTAINER OR LEAVE OPENED OR UNCOVERED. DRUMS SHOULD NO BE WASHED OUT OR USED FOR THEIR PURPOSES. DO NOT GET IN EYES, AVOID SKIN CONTACT. HARMFUL IF INHALED. PREVENT PROLONGED OR REPEATED BREATHING OF VAPOR OR MIST. READ INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE SING.

SECTION VIII – EXPOSURE CONTROLS/PERSONAL PROTECTION

RESPIRATORY PROTECTION

IN OPEN AREAS: USA APPROVED MECHANICAL FILTER RESPIRATORS TO REMOVE SOLID AIR-BORNE PARTICLES. IN RESTRICTED VENTILATION AREA: USA OSHA APPROVED CHEMICAL/MECHANICAL FILTER RESPIRATORS DESIGNED TO REMOVE A COMBINATION OF PARTICLES AND VAPOR, IF LOCAL EXHAUST S NOT SUFFICIENT TO KEEP LEL BELOW STATED IN SECTION III.

I

VENTILATION

ALL APPLICATION AREAS SHOULD BE VENTILATED IN ACCORDANCE WITH OSHA REGULATION 29CFR.1910 TO KEEP AIR CONTAMINANT CONCENTRATION LEVELS BELOW APPLICATION OSHA PERMISSIBLE EXPOSURE LIMIT OR ACGIH'S TLV

LIMIT.

PROTECTIVE GLOVES

REQUIRED FOR PROLONGED OR REPEATED CONTACT.

EYE PROTECTION

USE SAFETY EYE WEAR WITH SPLASH GUARDS OR SIDE SHIELDS.
